In response to this statewide demand for qualified registered nurses, Wesleyan College offers the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. Hallmarks of the Wesleyan College program include an emphasis on women’s health and holistic nursing, with specific coursework designed to prepare graduates for leadership and management roles in the field of nursing.
Our exceptional nursing faculty prepares students to enter the workforce in a variety of healthcare settings. Specific coursework integrated throughout the curriculum prepares graduates for management and leadership roles in the field of nursing. Admission to Wesleyan’s nursing program is highly competitive. Students apply for entry into the BSN program during their sophomore year. Application dates can be found in the Important Dates section.
Admission to Wesleyan College does not guarantee admission to the
Nursing Program. The Nursing Program is full time; class and clinical
times can vary throughout the week. Please refer to the Wesleyan College catalogue.
Q: Do I have to be accepted to Wesleyan prior to applying to the Nursing program?
A: The Nursing application is a single application process.
Q: Can I take Nursing classes in the evening?
A: No. Once you enter the Nursingprogram, students must be prepared
to attend classes, labs & clinicals during primarily daytime hours for
four semesters. Some clinical hours may require evening and weekend
attendance.
Q: Are Nursing students required to live on campus?
A: Nursing students will follow the same housing requirements as all
Wesleyan students.
Q: Are Nursing students eligible for financial aid?
A: Most nursing students are eligible for financial aid. Communicate
with a financial aid counselor about specifics by emailing financialaid@
wesleyancollege.edu.
Q: Are there additional Nursing fees?
A: Yes. A $200 deposit is required to reserve your cohort acceptance
seat. This fee is applied to your first semester nursing fees. Each semester you are in the program you will be charged a $1000 nursing fee. You will also incur additional costs for the background and urine screening, any updated immunizations required, at least one set of program approved scrubs, Wesleyan Nursing patches, leather shoes, watch with a second-hand, stethoscope, blood pressure cuff and penlight.
Q: Does Wesleyan offer LPN courses or an RN to BSN bridge
program?
A: No, not at this time. Wesleyan offers a BSN program which prepares
nurses to perform in most medical environments and have additional
preparation and training for jobs that include administration, leadership,
management, and research.
Q: What is the TEAS?
A: It is a pre-admission exam for the BSN program which is administered
and scored by a computer.
Q: Do I receive information about the test after I submit my TEAS
reservation fee?
A: You will receive a confirmation email from the Nursing Office within
5 business days of your reservation.
Q: How long is the test?
A: A total of 209 minutes will be allotted for the exam. The exam must
be completed in one sitting. Students will not be able to complete the exam on another day.
Q: What sections of the TEAS does Wesleyan College require?
A: Wesleyan College requires students to take four sections of the
TEAS. - Reading, Math, Science, English
Q: What is the test format of the TEAS?
A: The TEAS is a computer based test only.
Q: Can I use a calculator on the TEAS?
A: Yes. The TEAS has a calculator available inside the test platform for
students to use. Handheld calculators are not permitted.
Q: How many questions are there on the TEAS?
A: Approximately 170

Q: When will I receive my test results?
A: You can view your test scores at the conclusion of your testing session.
Q: How do I request reasonable test accommodations for the
TEAS?
A: Contact the Director of Disability and Advocacy Resources (Jill Amos,
jamos@wesleyancollege.edu) a minimum of three weeks before
your testing date to request accommodations. The request needs
to be made after you’ve made your appointment for testing.

The Wesleyan College Bachelor of Science in Nursing program has Full Approval from the Georgia Board of Nursing. The baccalaureate degree program in nursing is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education www.ccneaccreditation.
Wesleyan’s Simulation Lab is equipped with six human patient simulators, a state-of-the-art control room containing audio and video equipment capable of recording all student simulator experiences, a pediatric intensive care unit, a medication dispensing system, and several other unique features.
Wesleyan College was the only place where I envisioned my dreams taking shape. I firmly believe that during my time of reflection, God guided me to exactly where I was meant to be. Transferring to Wesleyan College turned out to be the best decision I've ever made. The nursing program here is truly exceptional, and I cannot speak highly enough of the professors - they are incredibly supportive and nurturing.
I am so proud to be a part of Wesleyan College. The school has made me feel so welcomed. The process of transferring was very easy compared to other schools. I love that the classes are small and professors are hands on. When you have professors that care, it makes you push even harder.
