Wesleyan College is the first college in the world chartered to grant degrees to women. Accelerating equality for women since 1836, Wesleyan provides students with an academically rigorous education in an environment designed to build the strength and resiliency needed to thrive.
Wesleyan College, the first in the world chartered to grant degrees to women, continues to champion the transformative power of women’s education. In today’s world, empowering women to lead, challenge norms and excel is more vital than ever. At Wesleyan, you’ll form lasting connections with others focused on empowerment, fostering a supportive community where women thrive, collaborate and grow. This experience isn’t just about education — it’s about shaping a future where women lead with confidence and purpose.
At Wesleyan, you’ll experience interactive, engaging learning with highly personalized attention, where professors know you by name and mentor your growth. Unlike large lecture halls where PowerPoints dominate, Wesleyan’s small class sizes foster collaboration and meaningful connections. With a commitment to experiential learning, we offer hands-on opportunities that connect theory to real-world practice, preparing you to excel both in and beyond the classroom. An education here is as dynamic and unique as you are.
At Wesleyan, we transform you from a high school student into a leading professional with in-demand skills and the savvy of a hustler. With personalized attention and strong connections, you’ll gain more work experience than most students. From guaranteed internships and launching your business in our e-lab, to global experiences like study abroad, our “Wesleyan to the World” mentality prepares you for success. Whether training in nursing simulators or exploring AI innovations, Wesleyan ensures you're ready to lead.
The Creating Equal Opportunities (CEO) program at Wesleyan equips students with the tools to bypass entry-level roles and step directly into mid-level management after graduation. With a personalized board of advisors — comprising faculty, alumnae, and peer mentors — students gain guidance and professional insight. The program also connects students with key partners in the Middle Georgia community and beyond, offering valuable opportunities to develop essential skills and build lasting professional relationships for a successful career.
At Wesleyan, inclusivity and sisterhood are at the heart of student life, making your transition to college feel exciting and full of support. The newly renovated Banks Hall is the perfect place to create lasting memories, decorate your space and truly call home. Our vibrant community ensures you’re never alone — whether you're connecting with new friends or joining in on campus events. Oh, and did we mention that you can even bring your horse to campus?
A Legacy of Legends: Joining the world’s oldest Alumnae Association is a point of pride you’ll carry for life. As part of Wesleyan’s network — older than any other college in the world — you gain exclusive access to powerful personal and career connections. Wesleyan encourages you to actively engage with this remarkable community of alumnae, leveraging their support and guidance to open doors and enhance your professional journey long after graduation.
