TOP 10 REASONS TO ATTEND WESLEYAN

DIVERSITY

Wesleyan draws an eclectic mix of women from all across the U.S. and more than 20 countries. On average, 15% of Wesleyan's student population is international.

AFFORDABLE

Regularly ranked by Princeton Review as one of America's Best Value Private Colleges, Wesleyan's tuition is one of the most affordable in the Southeast.

PHDs not TAs

The vast majority of Wesleyan’s full-time faculty hold the highest degrees in their fields. With a low student to teacher ratio, our professors teach seminar style, not in a lecture hall.

TOOLS YOU NEED

State-of-the-art science center; award-winning nursing simulation lab; 10,000 sq. ft. art building with 18-seat Macintosh lab; early childhood model classroom; and natural arboretum with outdoor learning laboratory.

BEYOND CAMPUS

Our direct exchange agreements with various schools in Northern Ireland, Asia, and others along with International Study Abroad and Exchange programs extend the boundaries of our campus and widen our educational horizon.

GRAD SCHOOL

The vast majority of Wesleyan students are accepted into their first choice graduate programs. Most years, approximately one third of our students graduate with honors and about one third earn double majors. Many earn triple majors.

YOUR CAREER

Our four-year plan helps students make connections between a liberal arts education and success in the workplace. Students can view and apply for jobs on the nation’s largest entry-level job board.

ATHLETICS

Wesleyan offers competition in six NCAA Division III sports: basketball, cross country, soccer, softball, track, and volleyball. Our award-winning equestrians compete in IHSA and IDA events.

FAITH & SERVICE

As a college supported by Methodists from it’s earliest days, Wesleyan has a long tradition of service to the community. There are many opportunities on campus and in the community to engage in service to others.

LIBERAL ARTS

A liberal arts education develops intellect and prepares students for many fields in today’s workplace. Employers say the ability to think critically, communicate clearly, and solve complex problems is more important than the undergraduate’s major.

Calendar of Events

Wesleyan College is privileged to steward many arts and cultural events and share them with the community. Most are free and open to the public. Wesleyan art galleries are open M-F 1-5PM and on Wesleyan Market Saturdays from 10AM-2PM.
